UNC Asheville’s Music Department will wrap up its fall concert season with its popular holiday concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in UNC Asheville’s Lipinsky Auditorium. “A Holiday Sparkler: Music of the Season” will feature a wind ensemble, the University Singers and student a cappella groups performing seasonal favorites, including “Carol of the Bells,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Deck the Halls.” The concert will conclude with all the students performing “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.” The student performers are under the direction of Melodie Galloway, Dave Wilken, and student directors Barbara Muffaletto and Kevin Koyasu. Admission is $5 at the door.
