Digital Video Arts Students
Present Experimental Video Installation on Nov. 9; Students in UNC Asheville's Multimedia Arts and Sciences video art class will present their newest work at a special exhibit of multimedia video installations, "The Electric Rabbit Hole," on Monday, Nov. 9, in Highsmith Student Union, Alumni Hall. The students' work explores the concept of identity in the digital age, using interactive graffiti, digital communities, three-dimensional projections, video sculpture, user-generated environment, and a site-specific installation. This fusion of art and technology opens up new aspects in the highly experimental medium of video art installation. This one-day-only exhibit will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. November 9, with an opening reception at 4-6 p.m. Alumni Hall is located on the ground floor of the Highsmith Student Union on the UNC Asheville campus. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 828/350-4567. Media Contacts: UNC
