The UNC Asheville student group Alpha Psi Omega
will stage Jeff Daniels' production of "Apartment 3A" at 7 p.m.
March 26-28 at UNC Asheville's Highsmith University Union Grotto.
Admission is free. All shows are open to the public.
"Apartment 3A" tells the story of a director of fundraising for a
public television station who has lost her faith in God and
humanity. After a rough break-up, she moves to a new apartment where
she jumps into a new atmosphere with crazy landlords and mysterious
next-door neighbors.
The production is directed by junior Sam Woods. Student designers
include Tyler Watts on set, Rachel Gordon on costumes and Taylor
Collins and David Vestal on lighting and sound. The student cast
includes Bridget Patterson, Garrett Funk, Cassidy Robbins, Leah
Shapiro and Tyler Watts.
Alpha Psi Omega is a national theatre honor society, recognizing
participants in collegiate theatre. The chapter, or "cast," was
founded at Fairmont State University in 1925 and there are currently
977 casts nationwide. A chapter was recently formed at UNC
Asheville.
