Interested in earning an advanced degree in
social work but don’t want to travel far for classes?
Since 1985, the UNC Chapel Hill School of Social Work has offered
its Master of Social Work degree through the Asheville Graduate
Center on the campus of UNC Asheville. This distance education
program enables students to study in Asheville, completing the first
half of the program within two years. Students are then required to
attend classes in Chapel Hill to finish the degree. The program will
accept its next cohort of students for fall 2009.
Want to learn more? Information sessions about this graduate program
will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, and 10 a.m.-noon Saturday,
