UNC Asheville to Host Alumni Panel on Green-Collar Careers November 3

Interested in turning your knowledge into a green-collar career? UNC Asheville will host a panel on environmental careers at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, in UNC Asheville's Highsmith University Union, rooms 223-224. The panelists, all UNC Asheville alumni, will connect undergraduate liberal arts education to environment-based careers. Networking opportunities, light refreshments and door prizes will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.

Panelists include Jacqui Adams, U.S. Forest Service forestry technician; Leigh Ann Conner, Buncombe County Schools teacher; Chuck Cranford, N.C. Department of Environmental and Natural Resources environmental specialist; Jonathan Pullin, The Environmental Group of the Carolinas principal environmental scientist; Maggie Ullman, City of Asheville energy coordinator; and Brian Winslett, Blue Ridge Biofuels founding partner.

The talk will be co-moderated by UNC Asheville Environmental Studies professor Bill Miller and associate professor Kitti Reynolds.
