Jill Yarnall, UNC Asheville Assistant Director of Public Information, recently received the 2008 Best of the Mountains Award for Press Release Writing from the Public Relations Association of Western North Carolina. It is the second consecutive year that Yarnall won the top regional award.

The panel of judges said that Yarnall's winning press release was "written exceptionally well" and made "good use of quotes and research."
