Registration is now open for a Graduate Records
Examination (GRE) prep class offered by UNC Asheville’s Professional
Education Programs. Classes will meet on the UNC Asheville campus.
The GRE prep course will meet for four consecutive weeks from 6-9
p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 8-July 31. The course is
designed to increase familiarity with the various types of verbal,
quantitative and analytical questions present on the GRE
computer-generated general test, required by most graduate programs
for admission. Students will learn test-taking strategies and work
with test-simulation exercises on reading comprehension, antonyms,
analogies, sentence completion, graphs and the writing assessment.
Cost for the course is $325, which includes study materials and
practice disk. Registration deadline is July 3; late sign-up will
result in an additional $15 fee.
