UNC Asheville’s Career Center will host a panel presentation on women in work and leadership at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in UNC Asheville’s Highsmith University Union, Mountain Suites. A panel of community leaders and UNC Asheville alumnae will discuss their careers and leadership roles. Participants will have the opportunity to network with the panelists following the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.

Panelists are Terry Bellamy, Mayor of Asheville; Amanda Edwards, UNC Asheville alumna and executive director of the Literary Council of Buncombe County; Susan Phillips, HomeTrust Bank marketing director; Miriam Schwarz, executive director of SAGE Partners; and Winnie Ziegler, director of invasive and non-invasive cardiology at Mission Hospitals. UNC Asheville Athletics Director Janet Cone and Tracey Rizzo, UNC Asheville associate professor of history and women’s studies, will serve as moderators. UNC Asheville Chancellor Anne Ponder will give opening remarks.
