Registration is now open for the Scholastic
Aptitude Test (SAT), the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) test and
the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) prep classes offered by UNC
Asheville’s Professional Education Programs. Classes will meet on
the UNC Asheville campus.
The SAT prep class will meet for three consecutive weeks from 6-9
p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from October 15-31. The SAT is a
standardized test required by most undergraduate colleges and
universities for admission. Cost for the course is $275, which
includes study materials. Registration deadline is October 8; late
sign-up will result in an additional $15 fee.
The GRE prep course will meet for four consecutive weeks from 6-9
p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 16- November 8. The course is
designed to increase familiarity with the various types of verbal,
quantitative and analytical questions present on the GRE
computer-generated general test, required by most graduate programs
for admission. Cost for the course is $325, which includes study
materials and practice disk. Registration deadline is October 9;
late sign-up will result in an additional $15 fee.
The LSAT prep class will meet on six consecutive Wednesdays from 1-5
p.m. from October 17-November 28. The LSAT is a standardized exam
for admission to all 196 Law School Admission Council member
schools. Cost for the course is $400, including study materials and
a practice disk. Registration deadline is Oct. 8; late sign-up will
result in an additional $15 fee.
