Asheville Graduate Center Seeks Potential Students for Master of Library and Information Studies Degree

The Asheville Graduate Center is investigating the interest in UNC Greensboro's Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) degree program, which has offered classes since 1992. UNC Greensboro will accept a new class of students in fall 2008 if there is sufficient continued interest.

UNC Greensboro's MLIS degree is accredited by the American Library Association and takes three years to complete. Within the MLIS program, students may choose areas of specialization in public, academic and special librarianship. Graduates of the program find careers in public, academic and corporate and museum libraries. The classes at the Asheville Graduate Center are held in the evenings and on Saturdays to accommodate the needs of working adult students. Many classes are broadcast from the Greensboro campus via interactive television. Other classes are offered via the Web.

To complete the online survey, click on www.unca.edu/agc. Deadline is November 15.

For more information, call the Asheville Graduate Center at 828/251-6099 or e-mail amlytle@unca.edu.
