Two new staff members have recently joined UNC Asheville's Alumni & Development division. Jim Brewer has been named Associate Vice Chancellor for Major Gifts and Endowments and Michelle Eudy is the new Information Technology Support Manager.

Brewer directs strategic giving programs, supervises planned giving and works with the chancellor and vice chancellor for development on special fundraising initiatives. Brewer, who served in the U.S. Marine Corp, holds a bachelor's degree in geography from Louisiana State University-Shreveport and a master's degree in classical archaeology from Florida State University. He is currently completing a doctorate in humanities from Florida State University. Brewer has worked in higher education for 17 years. Previously, he served as director of development for the UNC Charlotte William States Lee College of Engineering.

Eudy is responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of the information technology support structure for the Alumni & Development division. Eudy holds an associate degree from Stanly Community College and has worked for the UNC system for the past seven years. Most recently, Eudy served as the assistant director for advancement services and technology support analyst at UNC Wilmington.
