UNC Asheville Foundation Board of Directors Elects New Members

The UNC Asheville Foundation Inc. recently elected five new members to its board of directors. Each will serve a three-year term.

Chair Robert C. Roberts announced the new directors: Guadalupe Chavarria of Asheville, owner of Studio Chavarria Ltd.; J.W. Davis of Hendersonville, president of Carolina First Bank; Dianna B. Goodman of Asheville, founder of T.H.E. Center for Disordered Eating; George F. Goosmann III of Asheville, retired southern division manager for Jostens; Harry Harrison of Asheville, executive director of the YMI Cultural Center; and George W. Morosani of Asheville, president of George W. Morosani & Associates real estate.

These new members of UNC Asheville’s Foundation Board will join current members: Charles Atkins, Cherokee Equity Holdings, Asheville; Rob Bowen, UNC Asheville Drama Department; William Boyum, Cherokee Supreme Court; David Brown, Merrill Lynch; Tristyn Card, UNC Asheville Student Government Association; David Cogburn, Carolina Mountain Dermatology; Bobby Daugherty; Al Davis, Capital Bank; Charles Frederick, Southern Community Bank & Trust; James W. Hegglund; Bert Holmes, UNC Asheville Chemistry Department; Craig Madison, The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa; Teresa B. Morris, Morris Funeral Home & Cremation Service; Linda Nelms, UNC Asheville Management & Accountancy Department; Kenneth M. Partin, Givens Estates; Cyndee G. Patterson, The Duke Mansion/The Lee Institute, Charlotte; Neal D. Rhoades, SouthEast Strategies Inc., Raleigh; Robert C. Roberts, First Citizen’s Bank; Robby Russell, Wachovia Community Banking; Robert Sipes, Progress Energy; G. Edward Towson III, Gould Killian CPA Group PA; Charles H. Wood Jr., Volvo Construction; Frosene M. Zeis, ZTM Sales & Service Inc.
