UNC Asheville's Professional Education Programs Office will offer a continuing education program for professional accountants. Classes will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays September 8 and November 10 at UNC Asheville's Reuter Center. Classes will be taught by highly qualified professionals from UNC Asheville's Management and Accountancy Department and local firms.

Students may choose from two tracks on Saturday, Sept. 8: track one on peer review standards or track two on interviewing skills, management and leadership principles, wealthy client strategy, and identity theft. On Saturday, Nov. 10, sessions will focus on fraud.

Accountants who attend the program on either day will qualify for four hours of Continuing Professional Education credit; those who attend both days will qualify for eight hours of credit.

Cost for the program is $100 for each day. Registration deadline is September 1; a $10 fee will be added to the cost for late registration. All profits will benefit student scholarships in UNC Asheville's Department of Management and Accountancy.
