UNC Asheville to Host Panel Discussion on Workplace DiversityA panel of community leaders will discuss “Diversity in the Workplace: Finding a Common Ground” from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, in UNC Asheville’s Highsmith University Union, Mountain Suites. Panelists are Tootsie Gloyne, benefits manager at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino; Jacquelyn Hallum, director of health careers and diversity management at MAHEC; Kitty Hancock, nurse educator at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center; Lewis Isaac, a training coordinator for the City of Asheville; and Rosario Villareal, owner of Business Services Association. They will draw from their own experiences in overcoming challenges related to diversity. Panel moderators are Patricia Digh, author, consultant and cofounder of the Circle Project, and Don Locke, UNC Asheville director of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. The panel discussion is sponsored by UNC Asheville’s Career Center and the Office of Academic and Student Affairs. The panel discussion is free and open to the public.
