UNC Asheville Offers Standardized Test Prep ClassesRegistration is now open for the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) test, the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) prep classes offered by UNC Asheville’s Extension and Distance Education Office. Classes will meet on the UNC Asheville campus. The GRE prep course will be held for four consecutive weeks from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 11-May 4. The course is designed to increase familiarity with the various types of verbal, quantitative and analytical questions present on the GRE computer-generated general test, required by most graduate programs for admission. Cost for the course is $325, which includes study materials and a practice disk. Registration deadline is April 6; late sign-up will result in an additional $10 fee. The LSAT prep class will meet on six consecutive Saturdays from 1 to 5 p.m. from April 15-May 20. The LSAT is a standardized exam for admission to all 196 Law School Admission Council member schools. Cost for the course is $400, including study materials. Registration deadline is April 10; late sign-up will result in an additional $10 fee. The SAT prep course will be held for three consecutive weeks from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, April 17-May 3. The SAT is a standardized test required by most undergraduate colleges and universities for admission. Cost for the course is $275, which includes study materials. Registration deadline is April 10; late sign-up will result in an additional $10 fee.
