UNC Asheville Offers Standardized Test Prep Classes

Registration is now open for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) test prep classes offered by UNC Asheville’s Extension and Distance Education Office. Classes will meet on the UNC Asheville campus.

The SAT prep course will be held for three consecutive weeks from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 13-29. The SAT is a standardized test required by most undergraduate colleges and universities for admission. Cost for the course is $275, which includes study materials. A $10 late fee will be charged for those registering past March 6.

The GRE prep course will meet for four consecutive weeks from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 14-April 6. The course is designed to increase familiarity with the various types of verbal, quantitative and analytical questions present on the GRE computer-generated general test, required by most graduate programs for admission. Cost for the course is $325, which includes study materials and a practice disk. Registration deadline is March 7; late sign-up will result in a $10 fee.
