Proceeds Will Benefit Land Conservation Projects
Several UNC Asheville student organizations will
collect goods for a rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March
25, and Saturday, April 8. Donations of clothing, electronics, music,
books and other items will be accepted at the parking lots of Earth Fare
and BB&T on Merrimon Ave., as well as in front of UNC Asheville’s Dining
Hall.
Donated items will be sold at a rummage sale as
part of UNC Asheville’s Earth Day festival taking place from 9 a.m. to 9
p.m. Saturday, April 15, on the UNC Asheville Quad. Proceeds from the
sale will benefit The Nature Conservancy projects to protect the
Peruvian rainforest and conserve land at Hickory Nut Gorge in Rutherford
County. The rummage sale will join other booths, an art auction,
