UNC Asheville Offers Education Psychology Course for Lateral Entry TeachersUNC Asheville will offer an educational psychology course for lateral entry teachers as part of the University’s regular summer curriculum. The 300-level class will meet from 5:30 to 8:40 p.m. Monday-Thursday from June 5-June 22 at the Asheville City Schools Central Office Building, 85 Mountain St. Students will earn three credit hours in psychology. The course will examine applications of psychological theory and research to learning processes and the teaching of children. There will be an emphasis on developmental, behavioral and cognitive psychology, exceptional students, research methods and testing in educational settings. Students will explore teaching and develop lessons and strategies through the lens of educational psychology. In-state tuition is $207.06 and out-of-state tuition is $1,199.79. A $20 non-refundable application fee for new students will also be charged. Deadline to enroll is Monday, May 15.
