UNC Asheville’s Writers at Home Series continues at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at Malaprop’s Bookstore/Café, 55 Haywood St., featuring readers who are enrolled in the Great Smokies Writing Program’s spring poetry workshop. Writers at Home is part of the Great Smokies Writing Program, a consortium of Western North Carolina writers and UNC Asheville. The event is free and open to the public.

Featured readers include Michael Beadle, Jeanette Cabanis-Brewin, Leigh Ann Condie, Norvin Dickerson, Shirley Elias, Leon Elliston, Jeanne Howe, Ginger Graziano, Susan Lefler, Anne Owenby, Jeanette Reid and Mazie Warters. Each reader is currently enrolled in award-winning poet Cathy Smith Bowers’ class, “Revision: A Poetry Writing Workshop.” In the class students have focused particularly on the revision process and engaging a universal audience in their poems.
