Registration is now open for the Law School
Admission Test (LSAT) and the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE)
test prep classes offered by UNC Asheville’s Extension and Distance
Education Office. Classes will meet on the UNC Asheville campus.
The LSAT prep class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays from
October 11-November 15. This course is designed to prepare students
for the December 2 LSAT, a standardized exam for admission to all
196 Law School Admission Council member schools. Cost for the course
is $400, including study materials. Registration deadline is October
2; an additional $15 fee will be added for late registration.
The GRE prep course will meet for four consecutive weeks from 6 to 9
p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 17-November 9. The course
is designed to increase familiarity with the various types of
verbal, quantitative and analytical questions present on the GRE
computer-generated general test, required by most graduate programs
for admission. Cost for the course is $325, which includes study
materials and a practice disk. Registration deadline is October 6;
late sign-up will result in a $15 fee.
