UNC Asheville’s Teaching Fellows Program will host its annual “Opening Doors to Teaching” workshop for Western North Carolina high school students from 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, in UNC Asheville’s Owen Conference Center. The free workshop offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn more about the UNC Asheville Teacher Licensure Program and to visit the UNC Asheville campus.

The workshop features sessions on UNC Asheville’s admissions process, the Department of Education and the Teaching Fellows Program. Prominent local educators will hold a panel discussion and meet with students. A campus tour will be offered at the end of the program.
