Chad Mohn Named Finalist for NCAA Post-Graduate ScholarshipASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville senior men’s basketball player Chad Mohn has been named as a finalist for a prestigious NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship. Mohn is an economic majors who plans to go to graduate school next year. Mohn was a four-year letterman for the Bulldogs and was a three-year starter for Asheville. He completed his career eighth on the all-time list at UNC Asheville for rebounding (591), seventh in games played (117) and seventh in blocked shots (65). The Fayetteville native was a three-time member of the Big South All- Academic team in basketball, made the Big South Conference Honor three times and has been a member of the Athletic Director’s 3.0 + Club three times. This past year, Mohn led UNC Asheville in rebounding (6.9) and blocked shots (18). He started in 23 of 26 games and averaged 8.1 points per game. “I’m really happy for Chad to be named as a finalist for this prestigious NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship,” commented Asheville head coach Eddie Biedenbach. “Chad did a great job for our program both on and off the court during his career. I am very confident that Chad will be very successful after he graduates from UNC Asheville in May. He has been a pleasure to coach during his career.” The NCAA awards up to 174 postgraduate scholarships annually, 87 for men and 87 for women. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. Media Contacts:
