Family business expert Greg McCann will discuss the trials that confront many young adults as they transition into the family business. An optional lunch buffet will follow the program. The program will focus on cultivating social intelligence, managing family wealth, encouraging credibility and avoiding entitlement, using education effectively and seeking objective feedback. McCann will also discuss the importance of developing a personal life plan including examples of insights gained, careers changed and family business successes and avoided pitfalls. A lawyer and certified public accountant, McCann currently serves as business professor and director of the Family Business Center at Stetson University. As director, he led the development of America’s first family business degree program.
