The UNC Asheville chapter of Sigma Nu
fraternity will open up the courts for 24 hours of basketball to
benefit the Asheville YMCA and the YWCA of Asheville. Players can
take to the hardwood in UNC Asheville’s Health & Fitness Center from
1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, though 1 p.m. Sunday, April 2. The event
is open to the public; players ages 18 and younger should be
accompanied by a parent or guardian.
In addition to open courts, the fraternity will
hold free throw, shooting, three-point, and knockout competitions.
Winners will receive prizes from UNC Asheville Athletics, Staples
and Urban Burrito. Semifinals of the NCAA men’s basketball Final
Four games will also be broadcasted.
Players can make donations at the door.
