UNC Asheville to Hold Informational Meeting for New Women's Studies MajorUNC Asheville will hold an informational meeting about its Women’s Studies academic degree program from 12:15-1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, in UNC Asheville’s Carmichael Hall lobby. This meeting is open to the public. UNC Asheville’s Women’s Studies program offers courses that investigate the role of women in society. Taught by a wide range of UNC Asheville faculty, courses approach such topics as women’s health, women in politics, major woman writers, and human rights. Women’s issues are covered in a wide array of disciplines including economics, political science, psychology, classics, history, sociology and literature.
