UNC Asheville to Host Robotic Engineering Workshop for High School Students

The UNC Asheville-North Carolina State Engineering programs will host a three-day robot engineering workshop for high school students from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. June 28-30 on the UNC Asheville campus. For a nominal fee, students interested in engineering will learn about robotics and then build and program their own robot. The final portion of the workshop will be a “sumo-bot” wrestling championship, where students’ robots will battle for the top prize.

Fee is $75 and includes lunch each day and the robot, which students will get to take home. Deadline to register is Monday, June 27.

The workshop is sponsored by the UNC Asheville-N.C. State Engineering Programs and the Western North Carolina chapter of Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
