UNC Asheville Wraps Up Philosophy Lecture Series with Talk on BioethicsUNC Asheville senior Burkett McInturff will wrap up the university’s philosophy lecture series with a talk on bioethics at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at UNC Asheville’s Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. McInturff, a philosophy major, recently gave a similar talk at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research held in Lexington, Virginia in April. An open discussion will follow his talk. The event is open to the public. A donation of $5 will be suggested at the door. The program is the final installment of a year-long, nine-part series co-sponsored by UNC Asheville’s Philosophy Department and the Institute for Applied Philosophy. The series, “Reflecting on and Learning from Experience,” is designed to foster discussion on philosophically relevant issues of the day. For driving directions, call the Kellogg Center at 828/890-2821. For more information about the series, call the Institute for Applied Philosophy at 828/891-5068. Media Contacts:
