UNC Asheville Alumni & Development Division Hires New Staff MembersA number of new staff members have recently joined UNC Asheville’s Alumni & Development division. These are: Ashlea Allen has been named Director of University Publications. She provides creative and technical direction of the University’s graphic identity and key print and electronic publications. Previously, Allen was employed with the North Carolina Arboretum and was involved in creating the Arboretum’s brand, Web site and design and graphic standards. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in linguistics from Ohio University. Allen has also pursued post-graduate studies in design and multimedia at the Art Institute of Atlanta and UNC Asheville. Gage Brogan was recently named Director of Gift Planning and Endowments. He works with donors on wills, estate plans, life income plans and other long-term arrangements to benefit the University. Previously, Brogan was Test Coordinator for the American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville, Ky. He holds a juris doctor degree from Boston University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in economics from DePauw University. He also studied economics and international law at the University of Queensland in Australia and Leiden University in the Netherlands. Julia Fuog Caudill is the new Business Manager for UNC Asheville’s Alumni & Development Division. She is responsible for overseeing division budgets and supervises gift processing and database management. Formally, Caudill was the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching in Cullowhee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in international relations from the University of San Diego. Helen Garr is the new Database Assistant for the Division. Previously, she was the Office Assistant for the L’Oreal USA Packaging Department in Solon, Ohio. Garr holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Edinboro State University. Rebecca Lamb has been named the University’s
new Annual Fund Officer. Her primary focus is annual giving, including
alumni and parent giving and class gifts. Previously, Lamb was the
Executive Director of the Western North Carolina Historical
Association/Smith-McDowell House Museum in Asheville. She holds
