UNC Asheville's Blowers Gallery Hosts Works by Renowned Chinese Artist

“The Garden of Souls,” an exhibition of seven oil paintings and three ink and acrylic paintings by award-winning Chinese painter Jinbao Han, will be on view November 1-27 at UNC Asheville’s Blowers Gallery. A meet-the-artist event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the gallery.

Han is the director of the World Chinese Artist Association, member of the Chinese Fine Artist Association, former vice chair of the City Environmental Sculpture Office in Shenzhen, China and former associate professor of art at Shenzhen University. Han has exhibited widely in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Paris, and is included in many art anthologies. He uses a variety of materials in his work, including metal, wood, fabric, stone and plaster.

Blowers Gallery, located on the main floor of UNC Asheville’s Ramsey Library, is open during regular library hours. Admission is free. For hours of operation, call UNC Asheville’s Ramsey Library at 828/251-6546.
