UNC Asheville Takes Home Two Top Prizes at Best of the Mountains Awards

UNC Asheville’s 2003-04 annual report took home two top prizes at the third annual Public Relations Association of Western North Carolina’s Best of the Mountains Awards. The annual report was named Best in Show for In-House Printed Materials, the grand prize for a printed publication produced without the services of an outside advertising agency or public relations firm. The University also won the In-House Annual Report Gold Award, the first-place prize for in-house annual reports in the printed materials category. The ceremony was held on April 28 at the Holiday Inn Great Smokies SunSpree Resort in Asheville.

UNC Asheville’s full-color, 100-page 2003-04 annual report highlights the University’s history, mission, values and significant achievements of the past year, while also profiling students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors. The publication was produced by the Office of University Publications; Karen Anderson, UNC Asheville Publications writer/editor; and Nickola Dudley, UNC Asheville Publications graphic designer, with assistance from local photographer Benjamin Porter and Martin Printing Co. Inc., Easley, S.C.
