Asheville Graduate Center to Offer UNCG Library and Information Studies Courses; Potential Students Sought for Course Planning

The Asheville Graduate Center will offer courses in UNC Greensboro’s Department of Library and Information Studies part-time program next fall. Potential students are being sought to complete a survey that will assist instructors in course planning.

UNCG’s Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) is accredited by the American Library Association. Within the MLIS program, students may choose areas of specialization in public, academic, special, or school librarianship. Graduates of the program find careers in public, academic, school, corporate and museum libraries. The classes at the Asheville Graduate Center are held in the evenings to accommodate the needs of working adult students.

For more information or to request a survey, call the Asheville Graduate Center at 828/251-6099 or
e-mail bsvenson@unca.edu.
