Reuter Center Community Chorus to Perform in Upcoming Concert

The Reuter Center Community Chorus will give a concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Reuter Center on the UNC Asheville campus. The program will feature a variety of show tunes from such musicals as “Les Miserables,” “My Fair Lady” and “The Sound of Music.” The event is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of UNC Asheville adjunct music instructor Chuck Taft, the Reuter Center Community Chorus features some 50 members and performs a variety of songs. The Community Chorus of Asheville and the College for Seniors Choir joined to create this new chorus.

Membership in the Reuter Center Community Chorus is open to all ages and all levels of expertise. No audition is required. Weekly rehearsals take place at 6 p.m. on Mondays from August through May at the Reuter Center. The chorus gives two on-campus performances a year and performs at a number of venues throughout Asheville.
