UNC Asheville to Offer PSAT Prep Class

Registration is now open for a PSAT prep class offered by UNC Asheville’s Extension and Distance Education department. The six-week class will be held from 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays from September 3-October 8 on the UNC Asheville campus. Cost is $275 and includes study materials.

The PSAT is a standardized test that prepares students for the SAT college exam and is used as a qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. The course will concentrate on test-taking techniques, timesaving methods, logical reasoning, verbal ability and mathematical competence. Past exams and simulated materials are used to teach question types and strategies. A commitment to homework is required.

Registration deadline is August 31. Late registrations will be accepted after August 31 for an additional $10 fee.
