UNC Asheville Hosts High School Media Career Workshop October 7

Registration is now open for UNC Asheville’s fourth annual WNC Media Day for high school journalism and yearbook students and advisors. The program will be held from 9 a.m. to
2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. Registration is $10 and includes lunch.

Students can attend sessions in newswriting, newspaper design, yearbook editing and photojournalism. Courses will be taught by UNC Asheville mass communication faculty and other experts.

The day-long series of seminars is sponsored by UNC Asheville’s Mass Communication Department in cooperation with the N.C. Scholastic Media Association based at UNC Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
