UNC Asheville's Family Business Forum to Present Talk on "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team"UNC Asheville’s Family Business Forum will host a talk on “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team” from at 1:30-5 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, in the Chestnut Ridge Room of UNC Asheville’s Reuter Center. Greg Mayo, president of Human Resource Solutions Inc., will give a talk on Patrick Lencioni’s bestselling book, “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.” Five aspects of team dysfunction will be discussed: absence of trust, fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability and inattention to results. Greg Mayo will discuss the family business leader’s role in both creating and solving dysfunctions. Mayo has over 25 years experience in national accounts management, sales training, leadership development training and employee performance evaluation. He currently works with organizations to improve employee selection and retention processes by reducing turnover, leadership and diversity training, developing effective sales techniques, team development training and employee evaluation systems. A copy of Lencioni’s book is available to all Forum members planning on attending the program. Members are asked to complete the reading before the program to facilitate discussion.
