UNCA Music Department Continues Spring Concert Season

UNC Asheville’s Music Department will continue its spring concert season with two performances in March. Concerts are open to the public.

The UNCA Concert Band will perform under the direction of Will Talley at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 21, in UNCA’s Lipinsky Auditorium. Admission is $5. The program will include "Esprit de Corps," "They Led My Lord Away," "The Big Cage" and selections from "The Phantom of the Opera."

At 3 p.m. Sunday, March 28, UNCA’s University Singers will present a concert at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, 97 Haywood St., Asheville. Admission is by donation. Under the direction of Chuck Taft, the group will perform selections from the Schubert Mass in E Flat and pieces by Brahms, Copland and Chilcott. UNCA senior Kristin Mills will perform solo songs and arias by Handel, Schumann, Strauss and Debussy.
