UNCA Hosts High School Media Career Workshop March 12

Registration is now open for UNC Asheville’s annual WNC Media Day for high school journalism and yearbook students and advisors. The program will be held from 9:30 a.m. to

3 p.m. Friday, March 12. Registration is $10 and includes lunch.

Students can attend sessions in newswriting, sports writing, newspaper design, yearbook editing and photojournalism. Courses will be taught by UNCA mass communication faculty and other experts.

The day-long series of seminars is sponsored by UNCA’s Mass Communication Department in cooperation with the N.C. Scholastic Media Association based at UNC Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
