UNC Asheville to Offer Financial Investing Classes
in Asheville and Hendersonville
UNC Asheville’s Special Academic Programs will offer a continuing
education class in financial investing at locations in Asheville and
Hendersonville. "Educating Investors Through the 21st Century"
is open to all interested students.
The Asheville class will meet from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays June 8-29 at UNC
Asheville’s Owen Conference Center. The Hendersonville class will meet
from 6-8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays June 14-24 at the N.C. Cooperative
Extension-Henderson County Center.
The course will offer practical approaches to financial planning.
Topics will include the basic principles of successful investing,
investment options and monitoring wealth. Instructor Joseph Kiely has
taught college-level investment courses for more than 12 years. He runs
his own consulting services and writes a weekly financial column for the
Asheville Citizen-Times.
Cost is $95 per person or $145 per couple. The fee includes a textbook.
Deadline to register for the Asheville class is June 7; deadline to
register for the Hendersonville class is June 11.
