UNCA to Host Talk on Tibetan Heart YogaUNC Asheville will host a talk on Tibetan Heart Yoga by Buddhist monk Geshe Michael Roach at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at UNCA’s Laurel Forum, 139 Karpen Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Geshe Roach, along with a number of Diamond Mountain yoga teachers, have written the book, "The Tibetan Book of Yoga, Half Hour a Day to Health, in the Tradition of the Dalai Lamas" ( Doubleday, January 2004). Tibetan Heart Yoga incorporates the mind, heart, thoughts and breath and is accessible to practitioners of all ages, physical conditions and spiritual traditions. The talk will focus on the origins of Tibetan Heart Yoga and an introduction to the practice. Geshe Roach will also discuss how Tibetan Heart Yoga can enhance one’s yoga practice and how it affects people who practice it daily.
