UNC Asheville Hosts College Night September 23 at Asheville Mall;
130 Colleges, Universities to Participate
Thinking about attending a four-year university, two-year college or
signing up for military service? A good starting point may be the annual
fall College Night held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Asheville
Mall. The event is free and open to the public.
Coordinated by UNC Asheville, College Night offers the opportunity to
meet representatives from 130 colleges and universities, including
two-year colleges, as well as representatives from branches of the
military. Colleges from 14 different states will be represented. Area high
school guidance counselors, financial aid officers from two- and four-year
colleges, and representatives from the College Foundation of North
Carolina, the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program and the ACT testing
organization will be on hand to answer questions.
College Night is sponsored by the Asheville Mall and Clear Channel
Radio. Co-hosts are Asheville City Schools, Buncombe, McDowell and Madison
county schools.
