UNC Asheville Dance Program to Host Benefit Performance;
Proceeds to Benefit Manna Food Bank and Dance Program
UNC Asheville's Dance Program will hold its fifth annual benefit
performance "Everybody Can-Can" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, in
UNC Asheville's Lipinsky Auditorium. Admission at the door is $5 or four
cans of food. All canned goods will be donated to Manna Food Bank and cash
proceeds will benefit UNC Asheville's Dance Program. The performance is
suitable for all ages.
The program features an evening of premiere performances. More than 70
dancers from the University and the Asheville community will perform a
variety of genres, including African, modern, Middle Eastern, ballet, and
jazz. In addition to the work of faculty and students, the program will
feature choreography by UNC Asheville alumna Elizabeth Russell and a
special Capoeria demonstration.
