UNCA Offers Summer Program in England for Science Teachers; Registration Deadline ExtendedThe University of North Carolina at Asheville will conduct a summer comparative science education program in England from June 30-July 27, 2004. The program is held in cooperation with the University of Bath Department of Education. U.S. science teachers can visit English classrooms that are still in session and attend lectures on the new "National Curriculum," the historical development of the British education system and on global environmental problems. The program includes field trips to areas of special education interests, such as Oxford University, the Slimbridge wildfowl and wetland field station, Kew Gardens and science museums.
