Writers at Home Series Continues with Readings by Anthony Kellman and Pat Riviere-Seel

UNC Asheville's 2004-05 Writers at Home Series continues with readings by Anthony Kellman and Pat Riviere-Seel at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct 17, at Malaprop's Bookstore/Café, 55 Haywood St. Writers at Home is part of the Great Smokies Writing Program, a consortium of Western North Carolina writers and UNC Asheville. The event is free and open to the public.

Kellmann is the author of three books of poetry: "Watercourse," "The Long Gap" and "Wings of a Stranger." The author of two novels, "The Coral Rooms" and "The House of Alphonso," Kellman is also the editor of the first English-language U.S. anthology of Caribbean Poetry, "Crossing Water." He is a Barbados native and professor of creative writing at Augusta State University.

Finishing Line Press recently published Riviere-Seel's first collection of poetry, "Not Turning Back Now." Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals, including "Asheville Poetry Review" and North Carolina Poetry Society's "Award Winning Poems." Riviere-Seel has received numerous awards for her writing and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. A graduate of the M.F.A. Program in Creative Writing at Queens University of Charlotte, Riviere-Seel now teaches at A-B Tech.
