UNC Asheville Fraternity to Sponsor 5K Run for Cancer;
Proceeds to Benefit the American Cancer Society
UNC Asheville’s Sigma Nu fraternity will hold its second annual 5K
Run for Cancer at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, on the UNC Asheville campus.
The rain-or-shine race is being held in cooperation with the American
Cancer Society and proceeds from the race will benefit ACS research
efforts. Last year the race raised more than $1,000. The race is one of
several community service projects the Sigma Nu fraternity conducts each
year.
Deadline to pre-register for the race is November 9. The
pre-registration fee is $18. Race day registrations can be made for $20.
All participants will receive a t-shirt.
