UNC Asheville's Issues Forum to Explore the Economy and the Presidential ElectionUNC Asheville’s Economics Club will host a community Issues Forum to explore the economy and the upcoming presidential election at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at UNC Asheville’s Laurel Forum, Karpen Hall. Robert Tatum, UNC Asheville assistant professor of economics, will address issues relating to job growth, the federal budget deficit and inflation. Tatum’s teaching and research interests include macroeconomics and international economics, two areas of importance to understanding the present situation of and outlook for the U.S. economy. The event is free and open to the public. UNC Asheville’s Issues Forum encourages discussion among faculty, staff, students and the community on current issues in an informal and friendly manner.
