UNC Asheville CSAC Scholarship Winners Named

Tammy Jacqulyn Austin, daughter of Joyce Goode of Candler and the late R.T. Austin and a 1989 graduate of Enka High School, and Stephanie Hedrick, daughter of William and Tammy Hedrick of Lexington, N.C. and a 2001 graduate of West Davidson High School, are recipients of the spring 2004 UNC Asheville Chancellors Staff Advisory Committee (CSAC) scholarship. Each student received $400.

Austin, a senior economics major, is maintaining a 3.9 GPA. She has volunteered at the Irene Wortham Center and recently donated 10 inches of her hair to the Locks of Love Foundation.

Hedrick, a junior psychology major, has contributed over 30 hours of volunteer work in the Asheville community. Hedrick is a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and the program's vice president.
