UNCA's Writers at Home Series Continues with Readings
by Local High School Students

UNC Asheville's Writers at Home series continues with readings by students from Asheville School and Asheville High School at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Malaprop's Bookstore/Café, 55 Haywood St. Writers at Home is part of the Great Smokies Writing Program, a consortium of Western North Carolina writers and UNCA's Creative Writing Program. The event is free and open to the public.
Megan Maloney and Courtney Sabo, both juniors at Asheville High School, are involved in drama and creative writing, and contribute to "InaSense," a literary magazine. 

Lauren Northup, a senior at Asheville School, has participated in Brown University's Summer Writing Program and has studied with Craig Nelson. Northup has published he work in "The Review."
Hannah Bonner, a freshman at Asheville School, has edited her own magazine for several years. Her poetry has appeared in "Oyster Boy review" and "Dream Girl." Bonner was awarded a 2003 Gold Medal Scholastic Writing award for a short story.
