UNCA to Host Art Quilt Exhibition

"Re-Connecting," an exhibition of 11 fiber-art quilts by members of Ladies in New Textiles (LINT), will be on view March 2-28 at UNC Asheville’s Blowers Gallery. An opening reception will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 2, in the gallery. The show and reception are free and open to the public.

Exhibiting artists are Norma Bradley, Paula Callaghan, Peggy DeBell, Diana DeNardis, Suzanne Germandt, Janice Maddox, Bernie Rowell, Penny Sondonato, Kathy Spencer, Jude Stuecker and Karen Swing.

LINT was formed in 1996 by several woman interested in the art quilt and surface design movements. The group serves as a support network for artists to share their experiences as non-traditional quilters.
