UNCA's Philosophy Lecture Series Wraps Up May 7UNC Asheville will wrap up its contemporary philosophy community lecture series with a talk on "And If We Are Not Alone in the Universe -- Philosophical Implications" by chemist John Fishwick and Melissa Burchard, UNCA assistant professor of philosophy. Their lecture will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at UNCA’s Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. An open discussion will follow the talk. The program is the final installment of the year-long, nine part series co-sponsored by UNCA's Philosophy Department and the Institute for Applied Philosophy. The series, "Applying Philosophy," was designed to foster discussion on philosophically significant issues of the day. A donation of $5 will be suggested at the door.
