UNCA's Philosophy Lecture Series Discusses MoralsUNC Asheville will continue its contemporary philosophy community lecture series with a talk by Gordon Wilson, UNCA chairman and professor, on "Morals and How We Learn to Make Moral Choices." The lecture will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at UNCA's Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. An open discussion will follow his talk. The program is the sixth of the year-long, nine-part series co-sponsored by UNCA's Philosophy Department and the Institute for Applied Philosophy. The series, "Applying Philosophy," is designed to foster discussion on philosophically significant issues of the day. All events are open to the public. A donation of $5 will be suggested at the door. The next lecture in the series will address "How Does One Become a Mature Human?" on March 5.
